The Indiana Eye Clinic’s Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) was built in 1986 and was one of the first ophthalmic surgery centers to open in the State of Indiana. The ASC is a Medicare Certified facility, licensed by the Indiana State Department of Health, and recognized by the AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.) for its commitment to excellence and high quality care. Our ASC offers a comfortable, convenient, relaxing environment that utilizes the latest technology available for maximum results. Because we perform surgery in our outpatient surgery center, the facility expense is much less than the cost of the same procedure if it were done in a traditional hospital setting.
Our broad range of ophthalmic and plastic surgery procedures includes laser vision/refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and minor surgeries such as lid lesion removal and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
Refractive Vision Correction
The Indiana Eye Clinic utilizes the latest in refractive laser technology. Our pre-testing Wavefront technology provides detailed mapping of the eye for viewing the patient’s refractive error and aberrations. The VISX STAR S4 utilized to perform the refractive surgery minimizes removal of corneal tissue and captures all three dimensions of the eye’s movement.

Experienced surgeons utilizing modern surgical techniques, new technology and equipment, and customized intraocular lenses to suit your visual needs, all contribute to your improved vision after surgery. Location
The Ambulatory Surgery Center is located at our Greenwood Clinic at 30 N. Emerson Avenue, on the east side of Greenwood. It is easily accessible from I-65 and Greenwood Exit 99, or from US 31, Main Street or Emerson Avenue.
If you are scheduled for cataract surgery and need transportation, you are welcome to use our complimentary transportation service. Please discuss your transportation needs with your eye surgeon or IEC surgery consultant.
